Jesus' Circumcision
5-4 B.C.
Bethlehem
It is remarkable to me that the Gospels go to such detail in establishing that Jesus was a Jew and a Jew of very good linage and was so faithful in observing the Holy Day customs, studied scripture, attended synagogue.
All these things and yet, as I understand it, Jews are careful to turn their backs on him and the evidence that he is God; and in fact, try to ignore the fact that he even existed and was one of them, let alone take pride that the focus of a major world religion is one of their own.
Luke
Luk 2:21
And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the child, his name was called JESUS, which was so named of the angel before he was conceived in the womb.
