Martha makes her statement of faith in Jesus later at the time of the resurrection from the dead of her brother.
Joh 11:27
She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.Mary, by my theory, showed hers earlier in the home of Simon the Pharisee.
Luk 7:50
And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.Now in this event she shows the most important thing on her mind is to grow in the faith.
Jesus of course knew Martha's status, that she was not ready for deciding. If she had been, he could have had dinner ready with a snap of his finger or sent out for a pizza.

Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.Luk 10:39
And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word.Luk 10:40
But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.Luk 10:41
And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:Luk 10:42
But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.
