The Net - Matthew

Mat 13:36  Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.

Mat 13:37  He answered and said unto them,

Mat 13:47  Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:

Mat 13:48  Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.

Mat 13:49  So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,

Mat 13:50  And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Key words:

Gathered = The harvest judgment   (Isa 56:8) (Rev 14:19)

The good = Children of the kingdom, the saved  (Mat 13:38) (Rev 21:24-27)

The bad = those not found written in the Book of Life  (Rev 20:12-15)

In other words:

You disciples will have a very important job.  You will be spreading a message of repentance and the kingdom, which will affect where people chose to spend eternity.
